All You Ever Wanted to Know About Insurance

Don't neglect your water heater or it could cost you Thousands!!!

Most of us don't really give a thought to our water heater. As long as it gives us nice hot water it's the last thing on our minds.. BUT

Water heaters, like everything else in our homes, do wear out and simply get old. What's a good timeline to look at replacement?

The typical water heater has a life expectancy of about 12 years. If yours is older than that we suggest you have it checked out by a plumber. If it is showing any type of rust on the bottom then that's a good signal it's time. Also, over time the heater device inside wears out and may cause the tank to swell. Also, the water connection line may wear out too.

Better to spend $1000 now than to flood your home, pay a deductible of $1000 or more AND then have to replace the water heater. PLUS you will have a water claim that may not only raise your insurance rates but will also haunt your claims record for as much as five years!
